Brow lamination is a chemical setting service that redirects and fixes natural brow hairs into a groomed shape.
Explanation
A provider softens the brow hairs with one product, brushes them into position, and uses a setting step to hold the new direction. Shaping or tinting may be offered separately. Lamination can make existing hairs lie more evenly or look fuller, but it does not add hair and cannot create density where no brow hair is present.
What to expect
The appointment normally begins with a brow assessment and cleansing. The provider applies the lifting and setting products for the time required by that system, brushes the hairs into the agreed shape, and may finish with a conditioning product. Tint and hair removal are not automatically part of every lamination service.
Results depend on brow length, density, growth direction, and hair condition. Very coarse hairs may not sit like a reference photo, while sparse areas remain sparse even when surrounding hairs are repositioned.
Suitability and precautions
Tell the provider about previous reactions to brow or hair colour, irritated or broken skin, recent waxing, and strong exfoliating skin care used around the brows. The salon should follow the lamination product's allergy-testing and timing directions.
The service can leave brow hair or nearby skin feeling dry or irritated if the formula is unsuitable or overprocessed. It is a cosmetic grooming service, not a treatment for hair loss or a skin condition.
Aftercare and grow-out
Follow the provider's instructions about water, steam, makeup, and skin care immediately after the appointment because directions differ by product system. Brush the brows gently rather than forcing hairs into place, and use only aftercare products recommended for the eye area.
The set gradually relaxes as hairs shed and new brow hairs grow. Ask when a repeat service would be appropriate for your brow condition instead of reprocessing early.

Does brow lamination make new brow hair grow?
No. It changes the direction and set of existing brow hairs. The brows may look fuller when the hairs are brushed into a wider shape, but lamination does not create new follicles or treat hair loss.
